Classy opulence housed in an ivy-covered 18th century castle and surrounded by centuries-old trees. Only 12 km from the medieval town of Périgueux.
Upon your first approach to the ivy-covered façade of Chateau de Lalande, you are sure to be astounded. Surrounded by ancient trees and greenery, the chateau looks like something out of a fairytale. Inside, the theme continues: rich colours and detailed wallpapers will make you feel as if you’ve stepped into the cosy manor of French aristocrats.
Decorated in a classic style, many of the guestrooms boast beautiful wooden floors and heavy, traditional drapes.
There are several common areas for guests to explore, including a lounge with a fireplace, a library, and an outdoor swimming pool.

The value - Chateau de Lalande offers a lot for a very reasonable price. It is not a “faux chateau”, but the “real deal”, and it’s very affordable. Think the same kind of opulence you might see on an episode of Downton Abbey. Owners Catherine and Yves Staebell have recently renovated the chateau, and they offer all the same –in some cases more—amenities as much pricier establishments. In the gourmet restaurant, too, you will find excellent local cuisine at reasonable prices. Here, you will get the most bang for your buck.
