A large 18th-Century house clinging onto the hillside with super views, charming hosts and evenings that end singing around the piano.
The fact that so many of Cuq en Terrasses guests are return visitors says it all: this place is utterly lovable. Set in a tiny hamlet, opposite the church, the 4 levels of the hotel Cuq en Terrasses look out onto endless rolling fields and rustic farms. The extensive, steeply-sloping grounds hide colourful gardens with shady nooks, rippling waterfalls and a sparking swimming pool.
Inside, an unequalled atmosphere runs throughout, courtesy of the original terracotta, slate and stone flooring, antique furniture, wrought-iron bannisters and wooden beams.
But what makes the Cuq en Terrasses truly special are your hosts: Philippe and Andonis. They have settled in a little world of paradise and generously share it with guests.
